3. Data Collection on This Website

Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers. This includes IP addresses, contact requests, metadata and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website access data, and other data generated through a website.

SSL Encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser address bar changes from "http://" to "https://".

Server Log Files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits. These include: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of server request, and IP address.

Email Contact

If you contact us by email, your information, including the contact details you provided, will be stored for the purpose of processing your request and in case of follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent.

Electronic Signature (DocuSeal)

For signing contracts and data processing agreements, I use DocuSeal, an open-source platform for electronic signatures.

Operation: Exclusively on own infrastructure (Hetzner Cloud, Germany). No data is transmitted to third parties.

Data processed: Name, email address, IP address, signature data

Purpose: Conclusion of service contracts and data processing agreements

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract)

Retention: Signed documents are deleted from the signing platform immediately after archiving in the internal document management system. Only an anonymised audit trail (signature timestamp, signature hash) without document content is retained.

4. Cookies and Consent

This website uses cookies. The only technically necessary cookie is 'cookie_consent' (lifetime 6 months), which stores your decision made in this banner; it is set without your consent because it is what records that decision in the first place. Analytics cookies (Matomo) are set exclusively after your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can revoke your consent at any time.

You can adjust your cookie settings at any time:

5. Web analytics with Matomo (self-hosted)

This website uses Matomo, an open source tool for the statistical analysis of visitor traffic. I run Matomo myself at matomo.codeministry.io on my own infrastructure (server location Germany, Hetzner Online GmbH). The analytics data never leaves that infrastructure and is not passed on to third parties. No transfer to third countries takes place.

Purpose: Statistical analysis of website usage in order to improve content and technical implementation.

Data collected: truncated (anonymized) IP address, pages visited, date and time of access, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, approximate location at city level, external links clicked and files downloaded.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG (your consent via the cookie banner). Matomo is only loaded after your active consent; without consent no analysis takes place and no script is loaded.

Cookies: After your consent, Matomo sets the cookies '_pk_id' to recognize returning visitors (lifetime 13 months) and '_pk_ses' to identify the current session (lifetime 30 minutes).

Retention period: Raw data of individual visits is deleted automatically after 12 months. Beyond that, only aggregated, non-personal reports are retained.

Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on this website; the Matomo cookies that were set are deleted in the process. In addition, Matomo respects your browser's Do Not Track setting.
